My teaching style combines centuries-old technique with a modern understanding of vocal production, giving singers a versatile foundation that is particularly applicable in musical theater belting.

These mechanics, which will support singers throughout their careers, are also essential in creating the conditions for authentic artistic expression. The emotional truth of a performance directly affects vocal production, and conversley, solid technique enables more powerful dramatic expression. Whether working with classical singers or contemporary performers, my goal is to help each artist discover their unique voice, developing their technical facility and artistic depth simultaneously.

Testimonials

"Before starting lessons with Dallas, I knew I loved to sing but I didn't know how to use my voice. I came to my first lesson afraid to even open my mouth. After a few lessons I slowly gained the confidence and technique to sing all the songs I loved. He taught me with kindness and respect while also pushing me to be the best artist I could be. After 5 years of lessons, I ended up going to school for a degree in Musical Theatre & Opera. I am now graduating in 2 weeks from college, about to enter the professional world and I can say without doubt that I would not be where I am without his teaching and guidance. He instilled in me the strong belief of hard work and preparation. He gave me the technique and skills I needed to succeed in a higher education setting & I would recommend him to anyone looking to further their training or artistry!" Siena O'Conner (Singer, Actress, Dancer & Choreographer)

"Dallas is an exceptional voice teacher. He possesses the skills, both as an instructor and a vocalist himself, to help students attain transformative vocal experiences. Dallas played a monumental role in my development as a classical/musical theatre vocalist throughout my high school years and contributed to my decision to pursue a collegiate degree in music." Jessica Bailey

"When my daughter Avery transitioned from instrumental to vocal music, I reached out to Dallas because of his extensive experience as a voice teacher and performer. He helped her not only find her true voice, but also embrace her unique personality with confidence. His teaching is imaginative, engaging, and rooted in deep technical knowledge—but also filled with joy, humor, and care. Dallas has a rare gift for connecting the physical, emotional, and intellectual elements of singing, and he draws out strengths that students often didn’t know they had. With his guidance, Avery became a confident performer and leader in her school’s musical productions, singing with power and heart.

Years later, my son Jacob began voice lessons during a season of rapid growth and vocal transition. Dallas navigated this beautifully—guiding Jacob through tenor and baritone parts, helping him prepare for competitions, and giving him the tools to project, connect, and sing with confidence, even without microphones. What impressed me most was not just the skill he taught, but the way he encouraged Jacob to express emotion and purpose through music. Dallas brings out the best in his students—through masterful instruction, deep insight, and sincere belief in who they are. His impact on both of my children has been profound, and I’m forever grateful." Kristen Sepesi

"I began taking lessons from Dallas in 08/2018, and with his guidance my voice has undergone far more than 3 months of improvement. An excellent diagnostician, he can quickly and accurately identify vocal shortcomings and provide spot-on advice for improvement. More importantly, he makes you want to sing as well as you know he wants you to sing. When I began lessons with Dallas, I assumed that I was a light baritenor unsuited for opera. Thanks to his guidance I can now sing operatic baritone repertoire convincingly. I enthusiastically recommend him no matter what style of music you hope to sing."  Carl Karpen

"Dallas is one of the best vocal coaches I've ever had the pleasure of working with. His talent and ability to teach are unquestioned. What often doesn't get mentioned is his ability to draw confidence out of the performer. I have personally experienced a growth in self-confidence since working with Dallas. Additionally, I have seen the growth in others. It's incredible to see someone go from negative self-talk that is shown on their face, to confidently singing their hearts out.

One reason Dallas is such a good coach (in every sense of the word) is because he has been in our shoes. He has been through the auditions, the shows, the classes, the lessons, etc. Dallas knows how we feel, and he knows tips and strategies to help us be our best selves. He helps you feel at ease. He is so easy to talk to. I always walk out of a coaching session with Dallas feeling 200% better than I did before (even if I didn't feel bad prior). With Dallas I am more confident in my ability to sing, and my ability to be who I am, and love myself for it." Bekah Wesley

"Dallas is an exceptional voice teacher. I entered his voice studio with no vocal knowledge and little to no confidence. In working with Dallas I was able to find a way to utilize my voice, grow in my love for music, and come out of my shell. I was able to learn so much with Dallas because of his extensive knowledge of technique, his ability to communicate depending on ones personal needs, and his genuine passion for music and spreading this art form to more people. He genuinely cares about the progress and success of his students and works hard to create wonderful musicians." Emma O'Neal

"I've witnessed firsthand the positive vocal growth and change Dallas has elicited from his students. His formal experience gives him the ability to provide practical advice for performing as well as a wealth of technical knowledge that he is constantly looking to expand, utilize himself, and impart onto his students. His enthusiasm when someone makes progress is infectious, and he is fully committed to helping further the musical journey of everyone in his studio." "Mr. Bono is an outstanding voice teacher and performer. When I began studying with him, I had lost my singing voice completely due to poor technique. He quickly helped me regain my voice, and has gone on to help me achieve a very full sound. It is because of him that I can still find joy in singing." Lisa Flint Yarn
